At Gormans we only ever serve the best quality fish in our restaurants. Our fish is caught in the North East Atlantic ocean and it’s filleted and frozen immediately, it doesn’t get fresher than that! Our fishing boat is called The Rammy and is headed up by Bjorn and his team. They label up each and every catch with the date it was caught and the name of the fisherman who caught it, that way we know exactly where it’s come from!
More locally our inside man is Geordie, based at North Shields Fish Quay he’s our eyes and ears and is full of new ideas on the fish front. Where possible we buy and pick local, fresh sustainable fish, we like to try new things and we hope you will too. By putting seasonal, less renowned fish back on the menu in our ‘Fish Restaurants’ we hope to tempt the most adventurous of Fish and Chips fiends. We’re proud to say we’re supporting our local ports when we can.
